Legacy of Design Magazine Spreads

Four spreads featuring graphic designer Matt Willey for Legacy of Design magazine. Several design elements and techniques were chosen to reflect those used in some of the featured designer’s pieces. Red, blue, green, and yellow were chosen for the spreads to reflect the color palette used in one of Matt Willey’s cover designs for Portico magazine. In addition, the rectangles, circles, and application of the typeface, Acumin Variable Concept, reflect Willey’s frequent use of geometric shapes and condensed type. The white text on the second spread reflects the works where Willey used text that bled off the page.
